What is Visible and Why

  • The observable channel is fixed by the selected octonionic direction $u$
  • Zero-mass interactions propagate on $T1$; $T2$ is hidden but not absent
  • The Leech tier is observationally inert: it admits no local perturbations that could couple to measurement, not because it does not exist but because of its rootless structure

Collapse as Golay Snapping

Measurement is proposed as: the active complex tier produces a configuration; the Leech tier selects the nearest globally valid state (nearest valid Golay codeword). This selection is instantaneous not because of a signal propagating through space, but because global validity is not a local property.

The Golay code has minimum weight 8: no valid configuration touches fewer than 8 coordinates. Small local perturbations are not valid states — rejected globally, not dynamically suppressed.

The Born rule question

Whether the statistics of Golay snapping reproduce $P(i) = \psi_i ^2$ requires a positive quadratic measure on amplitudes over the Leech-admissible support. The most promising route:
  • Jordan state space provides density-matrix-like objects (positive trace-1 elements of $J_3(\mathbb{O})$)
  • Golay/Leech provides discrete admissible support
  • The Jordan cubic norm and derived quadratic form are the candidate measure
  • Whether that quadratic form restricted to the Leech sublattice gives $P(i) = \psi_i ^2$ is a concrete calculation

This is a real missing theorem, not a wording issue.


Cosmological Off-Axis Drift

At universe scales, propagation drifts off the canonical time axis fixed by $u$. The proposal:

  • Cosmological redshift may be a frame/projection effect — measuring an off-axis photon along the local time axis — rather than energy loss
  • CMB temperature may encode the angle of that drift rather than purely thermal history
  • The $G_2$ $\sqrt{3}$ ratio may set the characteristic scale at which this drift becomes significant
  • If so, the functional form $T(z)$ would differ from standard $T \propto 1+z$ in a specific way

This is distinct from tired light: no dissipation to a medium. It is a coordinate/frame effect arising from the geometry of $Spin(2,3)$ at large scales.


The Central Interpretive Picture

The universe is a constraint-satisfaction system operating at two levels:

  1. Local constraints → gauge structure, generation counting, charge ratios → Standard Model
  2. Global constraints → Golay/Leech geometry → shape of allowed state space → “collapse” as global reselection

These are not independent. $E_6$ or $E_8$ houses both. The 3 diagonal entries of $J_3(\mathbb{O})$ are the proposed bridge — the snap coordinates that couple the global Leech state space to the active local dynamics.
