Organizes thought or workflow but is not evidence for a physical claim. checks assumptions, certificates, counterexamples and stopping rules.
Exact assertion
Lie and Jordan methods are therefore not competing religions. Lie algebra controls infinitesimal symmetry; Jordan structure controls compatible observables and positivity. Both can be epistemically incomplete even if an underlying exceptional object is real.
The claim supplies a map or analogy. It becomes a derivation only after an explicit carrier-preserving map and invariant are given.
Chapter “The exceptional horizon”, section “Jordan freedom and the need for selectors”. This is assertion 2 of 2 in that section.
Treat the passage as organization or analogy unless a cited carrier-preserving map is supplied.
checks assumptions, certificates, counterexamples and stopping rules.
Provide an explicit map that preserves the claimed structure, then identify an observable consequence that the analogy alone did not supply.
