Each chapter therefore moves in the same order: ordinary picture, defined object, exact result, and authority boundary. A term such as symplectic is introduced only after the familiar idea it formalizes: preserving oriented area in a phase-space plane. A term such as chirality is introduced only after the familiar idea: left- and right-handed patterns cannot always be superposed by rotation.
The claim supplies a map or analogy. It becomes a derivation only after an explicit carrier-preserving map and invariant are given.
