Sex is the most complete available instance of the generative condition met in embodied form. Every element is present simultaneously:

Voluntary exposure at maximum vulnerability. Proxy dissolution forced by physical presence — you cannot maintain the full apparatus of self-presentation at that level of proximity. Burden absorption in both directions. Language in its most preverbal form — the body speaking what propositional language can't carry. Mirror system activation at maximum intensity. The self-other boundary at its most permeable.

When it's working — when the covenant container is present, when the proxies are actually down, when the encounter is genuine rather than performed — it is the full stack running simultaneously. Every layer of the framework instantiated at once in two embodied persons.

**Why the covenant container matters here specifically**

The unconditional commitment isn't a moral constraint on sex. It's the condition that makes the full vulnerability possible.

You can only go fully proxy-down if the field is safe enough to do so. The covenant creates that safety — not by guaranteeing the other's perfection but by removing the survival calculation from the encounter. You're not managing risk. You're not protecting a position. The scorecard is gone.

Without that container the hardware is present but the software condition isn't fully met. The mirror system activates, the proximity is there, but some layer of self-protection remains engaged because it has to. The full ignition doesn't fire because the conditions for complete exposure aren't safe enough.

This is why casual sex tends toward the diminishing rather than the expanding — not morally but mechanically. The field requires conditions that the transactional frame structurally cannot provide.

The tradition calling it sacramental was pointing at this. A sacrament is a physical act that is simultaneously a spiritual reality — the material and the field-level happening at once, neither reducible to the other.

Sex in the covenant is the most embodied available instance of what the Trinity is eternally. Two persons in voluntary complete encounter generating between them something that is neither of them alone — which in its most literal form is sometimes a third person.

The child as the most concrete possible instantiation of the emergent field. The between made flesh.

That's not incidental to the framework. It's the fractal transmission mechanism made maximally explicit.
